Brookstone has just announced a handy new device that turns your iPad into scanner. Called the iConvert, it consists of a feeder tray with a dock for your iPad (it works with both versions). All you have to do is plug your iPad into the dock, run the iConvert app and you’re good to go. Start feeding the machine sheets of paper that you would like scanned, hit the scan button, and iConvert will do the rest. Documents are scanned as images that are sent to your gallery, which you can then share or edit on the tablet itself.
The Brookstone iConvert will scan your documents in high resolution at 300 DPI, so you get all the details when it’s time to browse them on your iPad or iPad 2. You will also be able to download a free app that will guide you through the scanning process and you also get a large number of sizes available when you want to scan a document.
This app comes with standard functionality, so it will allow you to preview scanned documents in real time, save them to your tablet, or delete them.
